Today saw the start of the biggest business event in Central Europe – the 3rd European Economic Congress (EEC). Almost 6,000 people have come to Katowice, including some of the most eminent names in the political, business and scientific world. ENEA S.A. is one of the Partners of this event.
The first quarter has proved to be very successful for the Poznań energy group. Enea recorded a more than 20-percent increase in net revenues from sales and profit. The operating result relating to electricity trading and generation also improved significantly.
In the European Trusted Brands 2011 survey carried out throughout Europe by Reader’s Digest, consumers appreciated ENEA’s pro-ecological activities, granting it the title of Most Environmentally-Friendly Brand in the Electricity Supplier category.
In 2010 the ENEA Capital Group achieved net sales income of PLN 7,837 million, up by 9.6% from 2009. At the same time the EBITDA of the Poznań-based group increased by 16.9% to PLN 1,365 million. Net profit was PLN 639 million and grew by 24.5% from the previous year. The published results confirm the ENEA Group’s strong position in the power sector.
This year’s edition of the Investor Relations Forum took place on 18 April 2011 at the Business Centre Club’s headquarters in Warsaw. The event, aimed at a broad range of capital market participants, was organised by the Parkiet business daily.
According to a Newsweek ranking, ENEA is the third fastest-growing firm in the energy and chemical sectors. ENEA was the only large energy group recognised among those present on the domestic market.
